Social Empowerment Center Mission Statement

Our mission is two-fold:

Micro practice: Providing quality and cost-effective services and programs that meet the needs of individuals and families, preserving their rights and respecting them as individuals.

Macro practice: Encouraging coordination and collaboration amongst social service providers to assist in quality service delivery to families and individuals.  Actively working as Social Workers to ensure that the concepts of social justice and empowerment are included in policy, program delivery, program evaluation, and training.  

Our goals include involving community, family and neighborhood resources to support families through difficulties that frequently involve court ordered services.  These services are often provided by the Department of Family and Children Services, the Department of Juvenile Justice and/or the criminal justice system.
