Employment Opportunities
The Social Empowerment Center is a mental health and social service agency providing services to families in Northeast Georgia. SEC provides CORE (medicaid) and contract services via DFCS and DJJ.
SEC is currently hiring Therapists, Community Support Individuals (CSIs), and Parent Aides in the following counties: Banks, Barrow, Clarke, Franklin, Hall, Hart, Jackson Oglethorpe, Madison, Stephens, and Walton.
Interested individuals must meet the following qualifications and be approved to work after a background check.
THERAPIST:
Therapist will provide individual and family counseling within the home setting or office.
Education/Experience Requirements:

LPC, LAPC, LCSW, MSW, LMFT, MFT, or MA with licensure eligibility

Minimum of 6 months experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health disorders
Position Requirements:

Applicant must have their own vehicle to use for work purposes

Since most clients are seen in the home, applicant must be willing to travel throughout the county they work in

Applicant must be willing to work after school hours (some evenings and weekends)
Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer 6 months experience with a Georgia CORE provider

Experience with writing progress notes in the BIRP format

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT INDIVIDUAL (CSI):
CSI will provide social, behavioral, life skills, and coping skills for children and teens within the home and community.
Education/Experience Requirements:

BA in a Social Services field OR
-
Three years experience working with children and adolescents or families in a community setting

Applicant must be willing to work after school hours (some evenings and weekends)
Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer 6 months experience with a Georgia CORE provider

PARENT AIDE:
Parent Aide will provide supervision and parenting education and support for children and families involved with DFCS.
Education/Experience Requirements:

BA/BS or 5 years experience providing support services to children and families

Strong verbal and writing skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching parenting skills
